Introduction

A VGA Male to 5 x BNC male cable is a cable used to transmit VGA (Video Graphics Array) signals to a device that has BNC (Bayonet Neill-Concelman) inputs, such as a professional video monitor or a video switcher. The cable has a VGA connector on one end, typically blue with 15 pins arranged in three rows of five, and five BNC connectors on the other end, typically red, green, blue, horizontal sync, and vertical sync. Each BNC connector carries a separate component video or sync signal: the red connector carries the red component, the green connector carries the green component, and the blue connector carries the blue component.
