This power cable converts the Molex power on the ATX power supplies into the SATA format in order to supply power to the SATA drives or devices. The metal clip on the SATA interface makes the connection more secure.
The right angle SATA connector can be plugged into the SATA HDD from 90 degree downward. This is necessary in the situation of tight space inside the computer case.
