Introduction

This High-Grade HDMI 2.1 cable with cotton braid and metal plugs is a premium-quality HDMI cable designed to support the latest HDMI 2.1 specification. HDMI 2.1 is the newest version of the HDMI standard and offers significant improvements over its predecessors, including higher video resolutions, faster refresh rates, and enhanced audio capabilities.

Features

  • HDMI 2.1: This cable is built to meet the requirements of the HDMI 2.1 standard, which means it can handle higher resolutions and refresh rates than previous HDMI versions. This includes supporting resolutions up to 8K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz, making it ideal for modern high-end displays and gaming setups.
  • Cotton Braid: The cable's outer covering features a cotton braid, which provides both durability and a premium look and feel. The cotton braid can offer some protection against wear and tear, making it more resistant to damage from bending and twisting.
  • Metal Plugs: The connectors (plugs) at the ends of the cable are made of metal, which adds to the cable's overall build quality and ensures a secure and reliable connection. Metal plugs are less prone to damage than plastic ones and may offer better shielding against electromagnetic interference.
  • Enhanced Audio: HDMI 2.1 introduces support for advanced audio formats like eARC (enhanced Audio Return Channel), which allows for higher-quality audio transmission between devices, including support for object-based audio formats like Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
  • Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM): HDMI 2.1 also brings features like VRR and ALLM, which are especially beneficial for gamers. VRR helps reduce screen tearing and stuttering by synchronizing the display's refresh rate with the output from the graphics card, while ALLM automatically switches your TV to a low-latency mode when a compatible gaming console or device is connected.
  • Dynamic HDR support ensures every moment of a video is displayed at its ideal values for depth, detail, brightness, contrast and wider colour gamut—on a scene-by-scene or even a frame-by-frame basis
  • Source-Based Tone Mapping (SBTM) is a new HDR feature that allows a portion of the HDR mapping to be performed by the Source device instead of the Display device. SBTM is especially useful in cases where HDR and SDR video or graphics are combined together into a single picture, such as picture-in-picture or a program guide with an integrated video window. SBTM also enables PCs and gaming devices to automatically produce an optimized HDR signal in order to maximize the utilization of the display’s HDR capabilities without manual user configuration of the Source device.
