Introduction

HDMI 2.0 AOC (Active Optical Cable) is a type of HDMI cable that uses optical fibres to transmit digital signals between devices. It is designed to support the HDMI 2.0 specification, which enables higher bandwidth and higher resolution video and audio formats, including 4K Ultra HD resolution at 60 frames per second, HDR (High Dynamic Range), and 32 audio channels.

Compared to traditional copper HDMI cables, HDMI 2.0 AOC cables offer longer transmission distances without signal degradation or interference, making them ideal for home theatre setups and other applications where longer cable runs are required.

One thing to note is that HDMI 2.0 AOC cables are directional and cannot be used in reverse. So, when installing the cable, make sure to connect the "source" end of the cable to the HDMI output on your device and the "display" end to the HDMI input on your display device.
